Rectogesic ointment contains 0.2% glyceryl trinitrate in a base of liquid paraffin, soft yellow paraffin, lanolin and ethanol. For the treatment and relief of symptoms of anal fissure and to relieve pain and discomfort and assist in wound healing following haemorrhoid surgery.
Always read the label. Use only as directed. Incorrect use could be harmful. If symptoms persist see your Healthcare Professional. For adult use only. Rectogesic may cause headaches. Do not use more than directed. Patients taking medicines for erectile dysfunction or heart conditions should not use this product, or should only use it on the recommendation of a doctor. You should not use Rectogesic if you suffer from severe anaemia, glaucoma, hypotension or increased intracranial pressure. Do not use Rectogesic if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are allergic to glyceryl trinitrate or any of the other ingredients in Rectogesic. Store below 25C.
