Do not take Phenergan if you have an allergy to any medicine containing promethazine hydrochloride, if you have jaundice, if you are also taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (a type of medicine used to treat depression).Do not take Phenergan if you are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant. Do not take Phenergan if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Phenergan should not be used by children under 2 years of age, due to the potential for fatal respiratory depression.This medicine may affect your ability to drive a car or operate machinery. Do not take Phenergan after the expiry date (EXP) printed on the pack.
